At the age of 13 most of us were watching TV, doing homework or riding skateboards around the local park. For Kosto however, knowing when to cue up the next track, what beat was charting highest each week and who was taking out the world’s #1 DJ spot was more important. To this day 8 years later the DJ career of this Campbelltown freshman has taken the top priority and proven that music charges his drive from his bedroom to the decks.
George, the face behind the beats delivered straight to the dance floors across Sydney keeps in check with a sincere approach to this generation’s dance music. Breaking down the house music fences with his passion for progressive, deep, electro taints with a mix of disco to fuel the fire, he turned 18 and took it straight to the clubs while also nailing it as a Wildcard finalist in 2014’s Your Shot DJ Competition out of 7000 applicants.
Honing in on a live performance set to instill in his mind forever, the Sydney sider embraced the shows he witnessed from the likes of Denzal Park and concreted his soul to deliver nothing but a unique and creative musical experience for those dance floor enthusiasts. From Level 2 to some of Bali’s hottest venues Engine Room and Blue Sapphire, it wasn’t long before Kosto’s sound tore up the booth and went from teenage musical love affair to a raging scene in a nightclub. Sharing bills with SCNDL, Grandmaster Flash, Will Sparks, The Potbelleez and more.
Bangin’ in out in the studio, the anticipation for his prospective melodic beats are proving hot and heavy through the deliverance of George’s podcast on iTunes – Kosto: Podcast, downloaded in over 60 countries globally over 170,000 times.
